I recently got laid-off from a major Entertainment firm. Really. Pure & Simple. I, too, am unemployed. Just like that - gone! Work today, berserk tomorrow. I researched and studied what to do. I attended seminars, workshops and clinics and came close to checking myself into one of those. I've sent out resumes, cover letters, self-promoting, I'm your candidate stuff that you and the rest of the unwaged world have already done. Are we working yet? Interviews? Offers? Lunch with the Hiring Manager? I can't even get a lunch date with my wife!

Hmmm. What's wrong with this picture, you ask? What's not working? It used to! Well, quite frankly, we're not working properly anymore. Our Television Tube has been replaced by YouTube and our reception is getting increasingly blurry.
